JONATHAN VANDERMOLEN
CEO
Jonathan is celebrating 40 years in the residential property business in 2024 and is widely respected as one of the most trusted advisors in his field. He founded Blenheim Bishop agency in 1991, sold it to a PLC in 2006, and later became a director at IMA Real Estate. In 2018, he returned to his roots to establish Vandermolen Real Estate, a dynamic independent agency known for its expertise and exceptional customer service.
In addition to his agency work, Jonathan is a leading advisor to lenders, receivers, and administrators, helping them maximise the value of distressed assets. A thought leader in the industry, he regularly contributes to Estates Gazette.
Outside of work, Jonathan is married to Melissa and has three children and a grandson. He enjoys holidays, walking his dog Albert, and holds a season ticket at Tottenham Hotspur. He’s also a member of South Herts Golf Club and co-founded the children’s charity Rays of Sunshine.

Sam has specialised within the residential umbrella of the property Industry for in excess of 20 years , with experience in lettings, high-end sales and various types of land and Investment sales. Having spent close to 10 years as a senior negotiator at one of North London’s leading agencies, Goldschmidt & Howland, Sam was headhunted by Hamptons to join their Land & Investment team. Sam joined Vandermolen Real Estate in Spring 2018 and is now an equity partner in the business, he is driven by an entrepreneurial approach and boasts a track record of in excess of a billion pounds worth of transactions completed across his career. Chris is responsible for the sourcing, analysis and execution of new unconditional land opportunities. Prior to joining VRE, he held senior positions at Taylor Woodrow, John Laing and MCR Property Group. Whilst there, he was involved in a number of high-profile projects, including the acquisition and delivery of over 1,100 dwellings in Aylesbury and over 400 flats in Milton Keynes. Chris has development experience in both the residential and office sectors, although predominantly in London and the South East, he has a strong knowledge covering the whole of the UK. Chris has over 35 years of experience spanning; site identification, obtaining planning, delivery, investment delivery and asset management, whilst being involved in transactions totalling in excess of £1bn. In his spare time, Chris enjoys all things skiing: he’s a qualified instructor.
Adam Brews
Head of Capital Advisory
Adam brings a wealth of expertise in real estate finance, with a solid track record across various roles in the industry. Holding an MSc in Real Estate Investment, Adam has a proven track record of securing optimal funding packages for real estate developments and investments. Before joining Vandermolen Real Estate, Adam ran his own capital advisory business, Bantry Finance, where he successfully built key strategic partnerships with leading debt and equity providers.
Prior to that, he served as an Origination Manager at Iron Bridge Finance, an Equity and Mezzanine provider, gaining valuable insights into lender expectations and underwriting processes. Adam also has hands-on development experience from his time at ViewBridge, where he managed financial and risk aspects of various residential developments, and from his role at Cogress, where he oversaw the development cycle and financial management of multiple projects.
In his new role as Head of Capital Advisory, Adam focuses on helping developers and investors secure the best funding packages, leveraging his industry knowledge and extensive network.
Outside of work, Adam is a passionate fisherman and classic car enthusiast. He enjoys spending time at his family’s safari lodge in South Africa, where he is actively involved in anti-rhino poaching initiatives. Adam is also a proud member of the Golden Key International Honours Society.
Adil Rashid
Head of affordable housing
Adil has over 25 years’ experience and has been an Executive for the last 17 years in residential development having worked in key roles for a number of Housing Associations since 1998 including L&Q Housing Trust, Gallions Housing Association, Shepherds Bush Housing Group and Paragon Asra Housing. During his time in the Housing Association sector, his key achievements include: • Securing grant funding for Paragon Asra in excess of £269m • Raised £100m for Shepherds Bush Housing Group Development Programme • As part of the Connected Partnership delivering 2,000 homes between 2016-2021 at Shepherds Bush Housing Group • Chair of the London 12 Development Group for Housing Associations In addition, Adil has vast experience in the private sector having been Land Director at Henley Homes Plc for over 13 years from 2006 to 2019
Adil is married and has five children, making for a busy household. He enjoys traveling and, in his spare time, collaborates with the Trussell Trust Food Bank. Adil has been a Crystal Palace supporter for several years and has climbed Snowdon twice in support of the War Child Charity.
LOUIZA SYMEOU
Office Administrator
Louiza has built up strong administrative experience from working in the residential property sector for over 15 years at market leading practises such as Blenheim Bishop (where she worked with Jonathan) & Pastor Real Estate which has provided her with an excellent education in the real estate sector. Louiza remains eager to learn more and she joined Vandermolen Real Estate in July 2020. A natural organiser and a wonderful team player, she runs the office and supports the team with all of their day-to-day activities.
Louiza is also a Spurs supporter, & enjoys yoga, travelling, reading & volunteering with various charities.
